Joseph Joiner second with Crate Racin' USA at Whynot
Both Joseph Joiner and Jesse Enterkin were in action on Saturday afternoon at Whynot Motorsports Park (Meridian, Miss.) competing with the Crate Racin’ USA for the House of Hook 50.
With 35 Late Models on the grounds, Joseph raced his way into the show with the third-fastest qualifying lap in his group while Jesse’s time trial effort relegated him into the B-Main. Needing to place sixth or better to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, Enterkin was challenging for a transfer spot but contact from another competitor sent him spinning, ending his night early. Starting the feature in sixth, Joseph tracked down Jake Knowles for the lead on lap 19 and led the next 14 circuits. Unable to fend off Jason Welshan after a broken flopper brace was rubbing against his right-front tire, Joiner went onto place second in the 50-lapper with Knowles rounding out the podium.
